Yeehaw 2 - A Twangy Mix (Vol 2)
I love music and yet I have the musical talent of someone with absolutely no musical talent. (What, were you expecting a decent simile?) Therefore I have turned my love for music into a hobby of creating mixes. Mixes are a great way to shape a certain mood through someone else's art.
A couple of years ago I came up with a twangy/country/folkie mix that to this day is still one of my favorites. I unfortunately lost the playlist but I still have it on CD somewhere (I will try my hardest to recreate it on Spotify one day). I had always planned to make a sequel to it since I had such a fun time coming up with the original but I never got around to it due my world famous procrastination. A few months ago I got around to and and I must say I am pleased with the results. Granted it might not be as twangy as the first one but the sentiment is still there. Since I no longer have many people to share it with I have decided to share it with the world. And now, hold on to your hats ladies and gents... here is Yeehaw 2:
Here's the Spotify version in case you wish to be legal.
Something Substantial, a Failed Attempt
It has been quite a while since I last wrote anything substantial in this here Monitor (some might say I have never actually written anything of substance), and this is my attempt at changing that. Being the closeted narcissist that I am, this will be a brief update on my boring ol’ life.
Life has been alright since my last update. My last battle with depression seems to be over but certain things are still able to trigger brief periods of negativity until I collect myself and manage to get over it. Looking at life through an economic eye makes it easier. Life is scarce... etc, etc. My outlook on life is more pragmatic. I am slowly learning to fight my instinct to dwell on the past. One must learn from the past, but never try to relive it. I only exist right now, the past is but memories and the future is an illusion.
